Project Number 1 of 2008
In October 2008 Phil's Black 200 tdi disco that had just failed an MOT. Phil said I will bobtail it and cut out all the rust and we will get it through an MOT ? So Phil got out his angle grinder and started chopping it up.
Off came the back quarters
Then the rear cross member which was part of the MOT failure.
Then half the roof is the anything left of his beloved Disco ?
With only the rear chassis to chop and with the Disco now being a two seater We can start to put some metal back in to the beast.
Chassis Chopped and Phil gets on with welding the back end on .
The sparks are still flying as the truck takes shape.
Bobtail is driven out the workshop it is still on standard springs all we added was a 3inch body lift and it sits taller than Garry's 5inch lifted Disco just wait till it gets the lift springs and the rest of the kit ?
It is looking Good just waiting for winch bumper and winch to finish the front end. Cannot wait to try it out so we are off to An off road site to try it out ?
Added some spot lights the night before we went the off road site.
